1890'S Stevens & Williams Arabesque art glass brides basket in moorish crackle with Silver plated stand.
Highly fashionable as a wedding gift in the in the latter part of the 1800's, this beautiful crafted item stands the test of time. The usual glass formed cracked bowl was created by being dipped in water when hot and then re-blown to spread or accentuate the crackle effect, unique at the time to the British glass company of Stevens and Williams.
Brilliant condition, no chips or cracks to glass, the electro plated Silver stand is also in wonderful condition, no repairs and have been sensitively polished to restore it to its form glory.
Please note hallmarks and stamps are clearly viable, attributed to manufacturer Mark Willis and sons of Sheffield.
All items are sensitively and minimally cleaned
