An Arts & Crafts pair of copper & brass candlesticks. Attributed to Benham & Froud.

Benham & Froud (attr.), English Aesthetic Movement, or "Arts & Crafts", mixed metal candle sticks. We believe this all original pair of heavy cast brass and copper candle sticks were made by the renowned English metal workers, Benham & Foud from a design by Christopher Dresser. Extremely stylish and of the highest quality.

Each candle holder is made up of a heavy cast brass base, graceful centre shaft with a single candle holder. The decorative elements are lighter weight but still substantial copper leaves that surround the candle holder as a bobeche and that join the brass center to the brass base.

Good original "as found" condition with no damage or repairs, only old wax and grime from use. We did not want to clean them and disturb the fine original patina on the metals. Metal is in a fantastic condition, no breaks or repairs.
