Burtles, Tate & Co Victorian 1890's Vaseline/Uranium Glass Pulpit Vase

A stunning Victorian 1890's British glass "jack-in-the-pulpit" vase. Consists of a rounded, opalescent, crimped rim, and tubular yellow green glass flower holder. An almost identical vase is shown in the book Victorian Decorative Glass by Mervyn Gulliver, page 80, identified as made by Burtles, Tate & Co from England. The design drawing is also shown in the catalogues section of the book on page 227. Made in vaseline/uranium glass, which glows bright green in UV light.

Glows very brighy under uv light, note: images taken with UV light torch, 395nm wavelength.

This little vase is in fantastic condition, with no chips or cracks.
