German WMF Art Nouveau Copper & Brass Twin handled Vase c1900.
Exceptional good quality German Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) metal work made by W.M.F. (Wurttemberg metalwork - Goppingen) factory.
Made from copper and brass with an embossed stylised relief design, the underside is stamped with a early version of the WMF symbol, placing it at the latter part of the 19th Century.
30 cm high. Base is 12 cm in diameter.
Width from handle to handle is 16cm
Great condition, with some slight knocks to the base, the dents represent a moment in time—perhaps an accidental bump during transport or a cherished memory from its use in daily life. This historical context adds depth to the object, transforming it from merely a decorative item into a vessel rich with narrative and character.
