Rare find Antique Stevens and Williams threaded cup and saucer in Vaseline Glass.

£220.00

Threaded glass cup and saucer, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Stevens & Williams, an English glass company operating under that name from 1847 to 1967, was known for producing various types of glassware, including threaded glass. Threaded glass is characterized by fine threads or trails of glass pulled across the surface of the object, as seen in the horizontal lines on the cup and saucer.

Very good condition, no cracks, chips or repairs. Please note there a a few bubbles in the threading which appear to be chips, but its a just from manufacturing where the bubble has burst on the treaded line.

Glows brightly under uv light, note: images taken with UV light torch, 395nm wavelength.

All items are sensitively and minimally cleaned
